My first draft of my novel, Playing God, is complete. The next two months are for simmer-time before I redraft.

Thanks, Marilag. After I let the draft lie for a couple months, I'll get to redraft it. Until then, it's on to outlining book 2 starting next week.

Hey look at you with the sassy new avatar! Beautiful! Congratulations on getting the first draft pumped out. I think I need you as my personal draft writing trainer, when I don't achieve a certain word count by the end of the week you have my permission to make me do boxes. Have you done those? I hate them! Worst exercise ever! It's like a specific torture exercise for short people with no ab muscle. Let's make the wee one jump onto stacked steps 3-4 high! Muahahaha!

I'm glad to year you finished. I'm not making any progress at all on my sequel right now. I decided to enter a screenplay and a short story contest - plus various and sundry other time sucking activities.

I really don't think I could wait very long to start a rewrite, maybe a couple of weeks. You're a stronger person than I.

Hey Rick - Yes, it's tough letting that draft lie untouched. I do get a bit anxious, but it will be all for the best. Good luck with your screenplay and short story - it helps to switch projects sometimes. Keeps that muse engaged!
