Title of the Review:
Despicable Gru Hatches Plan to Steal the Moon
What type of movie is this?
It’s a children and family movie but enough grown-up humor to keep parents interested.
Is there a moral to the story?
Children are better than stealing the moon…usually.
Spoiler Alert: What is the summary of the movie?
Gru is a super villain with plans to steal the moon to prove that he is up-on-the-times. He uses three orphans as part of his plot to get back at his nemesis but ends up viewing the orphans as more important than his plans to defeat his nemesis.
Favorite scene and why?
When Gru is explaining his plan to the Evil Bank to secure funding, he goes through a list of slides explaining step-by-step his plan. One of the three girls put a drawing of Gru sitting on the toilet with a big long nose and a big smile. I thought that was cute. His startled reaction was funny.
Describe the Minions.
The minions are these little yellow people that get into mischief. They don’t really speak much…they just make noises. They’re very cute.
Whom would you recommend to view this movie?
Children and families.
What is your conclusion about the movie and your feelings of it?
It’s good – definitely worth watching. There’s nothing to offend people. Lots of laughs.
Would you watch this movie again?
Yeah – you know, I would. I thought it was cute and funny.
